I was so happy when I received the Gigue GH03 Universal Car
Phone Holder with Dual USB Ports. I know many others are probably in a similar
situation to mine and that their cars do not have enough places to plug things
in. This is so true for my family of six. This car mount holder offers not only
a place to put your phone while driving but it also offer a place to plug
additional devices.
This car phone holder, because it offers additional outlets, is really different than any others I have seen before. It offers you a place to put the holder besides the dash or the windshield as well as 3 ports. It has two 2A USB ports and one 5V port. This is very nice because it gives me additional places to plug in the many devices we carry with us when we travel. The holder itself really caters to the person using it. The head of the holder turns 360 degrees and swivels while the arm is flexible and bends. This allows you to really position the car mount in any direction you need it to best suit your needs. I like this because I can really fit it for me and my husband can fit it for him when he drives. The car phone holder comes with a short micro USB cable to use. I found that the way I have my phone positioned that this cord is a little too short to reach so I just use another micro USB cable I already had.
Inserting your phone in the car holder is very easy. On the back of the holder is a red switch to lock and unlock it. Put it in the unlock mode, and then press the button above the switch. This will release the arms on the sides that hold the phone so that you can now place your phone in it. Once you have your phone it, just squeeze the sides back together until the phone is snug. The sides have padding so it will squeeze your phone nicely but will not hurt your phone. Once you have your phone snugly in the holder, then you change the switch on the back to lock and the phone is secure. You will then position the holder, however, you like.
I like the flexibility this car phone holder offers. I also like that it does not sit up on the dash or windshield. It is really out of my line of site when driving. In California, it against the law to use a cell phone while driving a vehicle. You can't even have it in your hand at all. I use my phone in the car for listening to music, audio books and GPS. I set these before I start driving and then use the car mount holder to have my phone where I can still hear it. Where this car holder places my phone is perfect because I can still hear it well and it's secured and won't go flying across the car.
